History: Barbara Gordon was born and raised the daughter of a police chief in James Gordon. She also has a younger brother who became a psychopath criminal upon growing up. Through the years Barbara studied at school and became a highly intelligent and capable young woman. Taking up gymnastics and martial arts in her free time.
One year after seeing how far the corruption has come in her hometown of Gotham Barbara took inspiration from the crime fighter Batman and adopted a cape and cowl of her own calling herself Batgirl and going after criminals in the city. This caught the attention of the real Batman and Robin and after seeing what she could do they recruited her to the team, and they worked side by side each other. Barabra developed an especially close relationship to Dick Grayson before he became Nightwing.
Three years prior to the current year Barbara was attacked by the Joker and paralyzed. After the trauma of the attack Barbara became Oracle and started helping Batman and the Bat Family in different ways from her wheelchair in her home via communicator providing information and helpful hints to the heroes she was helping. One day she had an experimental neural surgery allowing her to walk and once more take up the mantle of Batgirl.
