Barry had received a message to meet him outside the city's limits of Central City. He didn't know who it was from or why. All he knew was that it was urgent and required his immediate attention. Dressed in his Flash costume he sped down the streets with red and yellow electricity trailing behind him. He reached the outskirts of the city and waited to see who was the one behind the message.
"Anybody there?" he called out. As he stood in wait for the stranger behind the strange note.

"Over here."
Out of the darkness came none other than Lana Lang with her hair done in a neat ponytail and dressed in her nanotech suit that gave her all kinds of strength and powers. She folded her arms in front of her chest and looked the man up and down. He was as Clark described him. Quite the man.
"You're Barry Allen I presume? Lana Lang. Sorry for the secrecy but it was the only way I could contact you. You've come alone I trust?"

"Lana?" asked Barry as he looked the woman over. He had heard about Lana Lang from Clark himself during one of their chats at the Watchtower. The woman who stole his heart when he was a young teenager growing up in Smallville. Before he met Lois at least. She definitely matched the description of the woman Clark mentioned, but what was she doing in Central City.
"Call me the Flash when we're out in public. Lana, what are you doing here?"

"That's what I wanted to discuss with you, but behind closed doors."
Lana checked the area and could see that there was nobody around for miles. But she would respect Barry's request to be called the Flash as long as they were in public. She walked up to him and stood about ten feet away. Since he wasn't Kryptonian Lana had no reason to keep her distance.
"I've been following Intergang activity from Metropolis to here. I have reason to believe they're about to make a move for STAR Labs. That's why I couldn't meet you there. They have too many eyes on the ball. Their leader is a man by the name Bruno Mannheim."

"I'm familiar with Intergang from what Cl- Superman told me about them. Why are they going after Star Labs?"
To come all this way just to attack Star Labs seemed suspicious. Unless they were looking for technology of some kind. Barry couldn't put his finger on it, but he was almost certain that Lana was about to tell him.

Lana noticed the slip but said nothing as they had more important matters to discuss.
"They're looking to make a Kryptonite Bomb that they can use against Superman back in Metropolis to dispose of him once and for all. They think that Star Labs will have the resources they need to make such a bomb. I try getting a message to Superman, but he hasn't been answering his phone. I thought going to the next best thing would be good since you're the guardian of Central City."
